Special Request

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This summer is looking like it will be a busy one. I have three trips planned so far. First up is a mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Harvest Baptist Church June 6-13. We will be working with some missionaries to the Deaf and we will be able to go into the Deaf schools in the area. The total cost for this trip is approximately $1,300. Here is the breakdown:

• plane tickets—$684

• lodging—$296

• transportation, food, other—$320

After that is the Deaf Baptist Fellowship of America annual conference in New Jersey June 20-23. The total cost is approximately $752. The breakdown is as follows:

• registration fee—$100

• lodging—$500

• transportation—$252

And then I plan to go with Silent Word Ministries on a trip to the Deaf Nation World Expo in Las Vegas July 31-August 6. The Deaf Expo is a secular Deaf convention where thousands of Deaf individuals from around the country and the world will converge for a 4-day event. Our mission team will be there to hand out evangelistic materials and to win lost souls for the Lord. The total cost of this trip is $1,700. This includes hotel, food, transportation, booth rental, sightseeing, evangelistic materials, and team shirts.

Please be in prayer for me and with me as the Lord will supply the necessary funds for these endeavors. If the Lord lays it on your heart to give towards this special request, gifts can be sent to Open Door Baptist Missions and designated for “Lois Boswell: summer trips.”
