To My Praying Friends,

Thank you for your continued prayers and support! The end of the year is coming up soon and I have many things to praise the Lord for!

Recent Happenings

  • July 30-August 06–I had the opportunity to attend my first Deliberate Discipleship Retreat with my mission board director. The theme of this retreat was on how to disciple others in their walk with the Lord. It was a huge blessing and a challenge to me both personally and spiritually!

  • August 18–Today a pastor messaged me that the church was going to take me on for support! Praise the Lord! He also asked me what else I needed for my upcoming trip to India. He told me that the church would send a check for the remaining amount! Praise the Lord for answered prayers!

  • September 1-4–This week was my mission board's annual missionary retreat. We stayed at Carson Spring Baptist Conference Center in Newport, TN. It was a great time of encouragement and spiritual refreshment!

Trip to India: September 15 to October 8

  • Team Members: Myself, Lindsey, Rebecca and her father Dr. Mark

  • Week 1: This week was mostly spent doing some sightseeing. Places visited: Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Kohima War Cemetery, Khonoma Village, and Heirloom Naga Centre. We arrived at the Deaf school on Wednesday.

  • Week 2: Dr. Mark and I both gave our testimonies on Sunday. It was International Week of the Deaf! To celebrate, the school organized games for the students. There were three teams: Faith, Hope, and Love. On Wednesday, Rebecca, Lindsey, and I got to organize and lead the games! Friday was a fun carnival day. The students made all of the games and prizes! I was so impressed with their creativity!

  • Week 3: On Sunday, the students also put on a special program at church. We spent this week having time with Amongla in the morning. (She and her husband, Pastor Yanger, started the school.) She shared bits of wisdom and practical advice she had learned over the years. In the afternoon we observed in the school and also had the opportunity to teach a couple of lessons. After classes let out, each day we alternated  spending time with the girls in their vocational room or spending time with the boys in theirs. We also had the opportunity to teach chapel in the morning and devotions at night. We took turns leading the music and teaching the lesson. Lindsey taught her first devotional in sign language! I’m so proud of her!

  • Week 4: On Sunday, Lindsey also gave her testimony for the first time in sign language! Lindsey and I left on Monday and arrived home Tuesday morning.

Matthew 9:37-38 – Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
